Mercedes has just unveiled their W16 car for the 2025 season in a digital launch event, following the reveal of its striking livery at the F1 75 Live season kick-off. This launch marks a significant moment for the team, as the W16 makes its debut just ahead of the pre-season testing in Bahrain, scheduled for February 26-28.
The 2025 season represents a fresh chapter for Mercedes after Lewis Hamilton’s departure to Ferrari. With rookie Kimi Antonelli stepping up to partner George Russell, Mercedes is embracing a new era. Additionally, Valtteri Bottas returns to the team in a reserve driver role, after his previous stint with the Silver Arrows from 2017 to 2021.
